Resin Coasters

Resin is more durable than glass but it’s good to care for it the same way. Use a gentle glass cleaner and a soft cloth and polish as you would glass.

Resin is not oven, dishwasher, or microwave safe. The heat generated from the bottom of a hot mug will not damage the resin surface. However, hotter temperatures such as that produced from a frying pan or casserole dish straight from the oven are too hot and could cause irreparable damage to the resin surface. It is recommended for use up to 120F/50C.

Bamboo Serving Trays

Wash gently by hand in warm, soapy water after every use and dry throughly. These are intended as serving trays or decoration but can be used for food prep. Do not cut food on resin area to preserve its appearance.

Frequently Asked Questions

What type of resin do you use?

I use ArtResin for all of my functional artwork and jewelry. It’s a two part, non-toxic epoxy resin. You can learn more about it here.

Is ArtResin food safe?

Yes! Once ArtResin is cured, it becomes safe for direct food contact as per FDA 21CFR175.300. It is also nonflammable!
You can check out ArtResin's SDS for further details.

What temperature can resin withstand?

It is recommended for use up to 120F/50C. Do not use resin pieces as hot plates. ArtResin contains advanced UV and Hindered Amine Light Stabilizers to protect it from degradation (i.e. yellowing) caused by UV light, however exposing it deliberately to UV light is still not recommended to be safe.
